  • The Little Loveseat

When we temporarily moved to our current home I abandoned all our furniture to renters who would be in our house for the summer and collected anything I could get my hands on from friends and family. One of those pieces that we were gifted (thanks to the consignment store that wouldn’t take it because it was too dated) was a floral loveseat. I admit it is totally the wrong size for our space and the fabric is well yes, dated. But after a year and a half it has totally won me over. Now I dream about where it will live in our eventual renovation and how I will recover it. Here is a little loveseat recovering inspiration.

  • My Hometown Guide - Ketchum, Idaho

It is always fun to have visitors in town and an excuse to go out to lunch and wander the streets of Ketchum. My mom was here to celebrate my daughter Marie's birthday. Here are our top shops to visit:

    The Picket Fence

I love their furniture and accessories and they carry some of my favorite brands; Simon Pearce, Malin + Goetz, and Coral & Tusk.

    Bellissimo

    Huck & Paddle

My go to shop for gifts for my sisters or girl friends. I can always find a fun piece of jewelry, little pouch or scarf.

    Willow Papery

I love beautiful paper products and getting to see them in person. They also carry Baxter & Jackson note cards and calendars!

    Lone Star

Ok, this one is 14 miles south of Ketchum, but worth a trip! Fantastic furniture. Some of my favorite pieces from my home have come from here.

  • Magazine Monday - Florals

I have a magazine obsession. I love magazines and subscribe to more than I care to admit. I also have piles of old magazines that I am trying to cull through. I can’t just toss them, but carefully vet them before they hit the recycling bin. So I am declaring Monday my day to tackle magazines and share some of the highlights.

Starting with my current mail pile… Florals are in!

I loved these three patterns featured in inStyle.

  • Moving

I lived in the same house for my entire childhood and still return there to visit. I’ll happily buy new art, swap out furniture and refresh my fabrics, but moving, that is not in my nature. But it is happening! We are leaving the house that my husband and I first lived in together, remodeled together, welcomed our daughter into. It has been a great house with beautiful views and lots of open space, trails for walking and hills for hiking right out our back door. But a house with fewer stairs and the convenience of living closer to town beckons.

Here is a glimpse of what we are leaving behind.

  • Photo Shoot Sneak Peak

I have officially put away my oil paints and am focusing on turning my acrylic designs into fabric. Here is a sneak peak from the photo shoot of my début line.
